HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!!

So...I moved in on Sunday. But I slept over in my brother's apartment that day.

Last night was the first night I slept at my room...and it just so happened that at 4am, the fire alarm went off. haha. It was loud as hell. >_<

And now...I'm really, REALLY homesick.
Like, seriously, I wanna go home. My mom called me today and I started crying. Not that she knew, but I did tell her that I miss home. I just...miss my friends and home and...maybe it's also cuz I'm getting nervous about school starting. Idk, but I really just wanna go home, even for a day, just to see everyone else.

I need something to distract me, just so I won't go all emo and depressed and start crying everyday. Hopefully, classes will do that. *sigh*

My financial aid for school is not going to be given to me before the fee is due. I applied for PACE, which allows me to distribute the payment over 3 months. Too bad I have to pay at least the initial payment up front.

I may get my offer before the next installment is due.

According to the office, they still need some more forms to verify. And they still have not asked me for them. WTF?

Damn it, I hate the financial aid office.

« THE GOOD »
01. I am home. It was a safe flight. Although, my original flight time was at 8pm, then they pushed it back to 8:30, then they pushed it back again to 8:45. W/e. I got home, and that's all that matters. ^^
As a random side note, I ran into my old volleyball coach from high school while waiting for my ride at the airport. Such a random coincidence. haha.
02. I recently checked the wait list for the classes I signed up for and - yay! - I moved up one spot on both classes. \o/ Which sorta makes me wonder if it's the same person who dropped both classes. lol. So now, I am in position 4 and 1 for my classes. Good stuff.
03. I checked my financial aid and found that after months of reviewing my forms, they finally (finally!) approved me for financial aid. Now I just need to wait to see how much they'll offer me. And I need to sign up for enough units to actually get the money. *breathes sigh of relief*

« THE BAD »
I recently emailed the teacher who's conducting the oral exams for the Japanese placement test. And according to her...not only are the chances of me being able to join the classes incredibly slim because the classes are already full, they are also thinking about getting rid of one of the 1A classes due to budget cuts.
That makes NO SENSE. Does it? The classes are completely full and a whole bunch of other students are trying to get into the class and YOU CUT MORE CLASSES?? I thought university people were supposed to be smart?
This, of course, means that I'm going to end up taking Korean, most likely. Not like it's such a bad thing, but...I really wanted to take Japanese. (How is it that Japanese is completely full when Korean is completely open?) If only I didn't need two years of foreign language... T___T
Now I just need to take the Korean placement exam. Joy.

My bro apparently got me clothes as a present, because he wanted to get me something "to help [me] look a little better." >.>
Then we went to Company D, which is a Disney warehouse that sells last season's items for marked down prices. Only Disney cast members and friends and family are allowed in, but my brother's friend works there, so he got us a pass. ^^ I got a jacket, pajama pants, and a couple purses/totes for me and my sister. It was fairly cheap, considering the stuff I got.
Afterward, I went to The Boiling Crab with my brother and two of his friends for some seafood. It was pretty good. Really long wait to get in, but it was worth it. haha.
Then we went back to his friend's house and watched some TV, along with the fireworks from Disneyland, cuz his friend lives really close to it.
Overall, it was a good day~

I went to watch District 9 yesterday with my bro and his friends.
WTF. Seriously, that was basically my reaction to most of the movie.
I liked it, but...it took a while. I think you can only invest yourself into a movie for so long when all you can think is that you want the main character to JUST DIE ALREADY. But at least they turned it around eventually. Though, really, throughout the movie, I was wishing for so many characters to die a horrible death. haha. Which many of them did. (That's not really a spoiler, I don't think.)
And, I also like the fact that no matter what country, no matter what planet, the one word everyone knows is "fuck". >_<

I went to Disneyland on the 16th, along with my brother and his friends. It was so tiring. We spent the entire day there, going from around 12pm to 11:30pm. My feet were dead by the time we got home. lol.
But it was fun! I actually went on rides. haha. I don't much like rollercoasters, so I wasn't too keen on riding, but none of them were too bad, so it was a blast riding them. ^^ Let's see...we rode Buzz Lightyear, Matterhorn, It's a Small World, Big Thunder, Space Mountain, and Indiana Jones. We also watched the Celebrate! A Street Party Parade and the fireworks. And we hopped over to California Adventures and we went to the Muppet Vision 3D and Toy Story, plus we watched Aladdin and the Pixar Play Parade (which sprayed water at everyone and seemed to especially like getting me wet). My brother and I were supposed to go on the Tower of Terror, but...I didn't want to go. ^^;;
There were so many people there that the wait line for the rides were crazy long. Fast passes were definitely the way to go, even though we really only had fast passes to two rides. haha.

Anyways, fun day is fun!
And I'm starting to think that living in So-Cal means having a season pass to Disneyland so I can come anytime I want. Which is pretty much what my bro and his friends always do. haha.
It's funny, living in Nor-Cal, when someone says they're going to Disneyland, everyone's reaction is, "Wow! You're so lucky!" but in So-Cal, the reaction's pretty much, "Again? You go there everyday!" XDDD

It's been a crazy past couple of days. I've been missing more sleep than even the usual cuz I've been doing so many things. haha. No rest~

My brother had three of his wisdom teeth pulled. Because of it, he had me drop him off to work and pick him up, then drive him after the extraction. It's actually kinda nervewracking, driving around Irvine (not as bad driving around in LA, though) just cuz So-Cal drivers are...psychotic. haha. But yeah, I was just nervous cuz I kept thinking that I was gonna get lost or something and never find my way back to my brother's apartment. haha. That would suck...
According to my brother, it's good experience and I get to know my surroundings, since I'm gonna be here anyways. But still, w/e.

I took the placement exam for Japanese. I don't think I've ever failed an exam as badly as I failed that one. lol. Good thing is that it's only a placement exam. ^^;;
Now I need to schedule my oral interview. I don't know why I would need to, though, considering the fact that I failed so horribly bad. XD

My brother, his roommate, and I went to the Pantages Theatre in LA to watch Fiddler on the Roof. It was very enjoyable. I wasn't quite sure what to expect when we went there, cuz I didn't know the story of the musical, but I really liked it. It was funny and sorta bittersweet, but it was fun to watch. It featured Topol, who played Tevye, and he's apparently some famous person who portrayed that character. I don't know him, but everyone else seemed to. ^^;;

We went out for dim sum in the morning. Fun stuff. haha. I haven't had dim sum in so long.

After that, my brother and I went back to LA to visit his friend, who wanted to take us to this Korean barbeque. It was sorta hit and miss. haha. We came and there were so many people there in lines for the food. We got to eat some, but they shut the burners down by 7:30, so the BBQ that my brother and I were in line for closed before we got anything. Lame. But it was fun times, nonetheless. ^^

We went hiking!! It was crazy tiring and hot, but it was actually fun. ^^
We went to the Angeles National Park and went hiking to the Bridge to Nowhere, where one of the people with us went bungee jumping with the group that was there.

I had my academic counseling at 8:30 in the morning. No time for rest at all. >.>
I was finally able to apply for my classes. Too bad I was only able to officially apply to one class. Two classes I signed up for, I was waitlisted. And for my foreign language, I need to email the teachers, because all the classes are full. And I need to get into those classes.

And now, I can finally rest. haha. After such a hectic schedule, I can finally sleep in and just sit around with the computer and the TV. And maybe catch up with Arashi, cuz I've been out of...everything. :D
